G Adventures for group tours

G Adventures is easily one of my favourite tour companies. Their small-group adventures span the globe, from the Rocky Mountains to the turquoise beaches of Thailand. They offer a wide range of tours for all types of travellers, including solo travellers, families, and young adults (18–39).

Viator for day tours

Viator is my go-to for booking tours and experiences, from sightseeing and food tours to day trips and airport transfers. With over 300,000 experiences around the world, it’s an easy way to make the most of any destination.

Accommodations

Hotels.com for hotels

Hotels.com is often my go-to when booking hotels. I especially like their rewards program, where you earn a free night for every 10 nights you stay.

Booking.com for hotels

Booking.com is another platform I often use to find hotel deals. It’s a reliable option with plenty of choices no matter your budget.

Hostelworld for hostels

Hostelworld is my go-to for booking hostels around the world. With options in over 180 countries and built-in social features like group chats and meetups, it makes solo travel a lot more connected.

Trip Planning

Tripadvisor for planning trips

Tripadvisor is a great resource for trip planning. It helps you find things to do, restaurants, and hotels, and I often use it to read reviews before visiting a place. You can also book hotels and tours directly through the platform.

Tripit for creating the itinerary

I use TripIt to organize my trips. It’s simple and uncomplicated, and you can link it to your email so it automatically pulls in your bookings. I love having all my flights, hotels, and tours in one place and it’s free!

Atlas Obscura for finding the unusual

I love using Atlas Obscura to find interesting, hidden, and overlooked places to visit. With over 30,000 locations listed, it’s perfect for discovering everything from quirky roadside stops to ancient wonders.

HappyCow for finding vegan options

I use HappyCow to find vegan and vegetarian food when I travel. It’s great for discovering veg-friendly restaurants, cafés, and shops in any destination.

Services

Airalo for eSIM

Airalo is what I use to stay connected while travelling. It saves me from roaming charges by offering instant, affordable prepaid eSIM data in over 200 countries.

NordVPN for VPNs

I use NordVPN whenever I travel. A VPN helps protect your data on public Wi-Fi (airports, hotels, cafés), keeps your connection secure and encrypted, and prevents unwanted tracking. It’s also great for accessing streaming services from home or unlocking content from different regions while abroad.
